This curious little alpine plant reminds me of something out of Dr. Seuss. I little tuft of fuzzy green leaves is overshadowed by a comically oversized daisy-like flower. The whole plant (which grows naturally in rocky alpine environments) is only an inch or two tall. Older plants can have multiple leaf tufts and more than one flower, but the growth habit is always compact and cushion-like.
As an alpine plant, this guy might appreciate some protection from blazing afternoon sun if planted in the valley, and maybe a little more water. Regardless, it will want well drained soil. A sloped rock garden would be ideal. For companions, consider silky phacelia, stiff-leaf penstemon, stonecrop, yellow wild buckwheat, bitterroot, or woolly groundsel (just to name a few).
