Largeleaf avens is a fun little streamside species with interesting dissected leaves and a well-behaved upright habit. The five-petaled yellow flowers are relatively small, but the fuzzy round seed heads provide a unique textural element for your irrigated garden. This species will spread from seed if you have moist bare ground; deadhead to prevent.

Plant with lady fern, nettleleaf giant hyssop, miterwort, pearly everlasting, cow parsnip, monkeyflowers, and streamside fleabane for an exciting spread of colors, bloom times, and textures.
