In very moist conditions thimbleberries can have enormous dinner plate-size leaves

Very delicious berries that aren't very portable (so you might as well grow a few at home)

Thimbleberry adds a cool rainforest feel with giant leaves (up to dinner plate size) and edible fruit. Delicate red berries are delicious fresh-picked. This species appreciates moderate water, making it a good border for irrigated lawn. Plant with nettle-leaf giant hyssop, fireweed, and sneezeweed for layers of thick foliage and plenty of color.
