Montana's state grass. A slender upright bunchgrass that makes a perfect backdrop for shorter flowering plants or standalone accent specimen. Articulated blue-grey leaves turn two-tone gold in the summer. This grass is right at home on our valley bottom, and once established (several weeks) will thrive in full sun with no supplemental irrigation. Plant behind blanketflower, yarrow, hairy golden aster, and prairie junegrass for a very low maintenance prairie garden.
