Oregon sunshine thrives in a garden setting. This diminutive sunflower cousin is fairly humble in the wild. Growing in open and shaded dry forest, it sends up a few blooms and calls it a day. In a garden with sunshine and a tiny bit of extra water it covers itself in vivid yellow flowers. Even without blooms, the thick fuzzy silver leaves provide a unique look and texture for the garden. When Oregon sunshine blooms heavily it can expend itself, so leave some spent flowers on for continuity. Plant with clarkia for an absolutely stunning combination.
